Intelligent Engineering

SRS are pleased to represent Intelligent Engineering in promoting the use of SPS Overlay for the repair and strengthening of ship structures. SPS Overlay uses the existing corroded or worn plating as one side of a steel-elastomer-steel composite formed in-situ in the shipyard. Because the existing steelwork remains intact, attached piped and electrical services are undisturbed. The process is therefore extremely fast and unobtrusive in comparison with conventional crop and replace.

SPS Overlay is approved by the major Classification Societies. To date 50,000m² of SPS structure is in service worldwide on a wide variety of ships and oil and gas structures.
